As part of our ongoing expansion in Frankfurt, Netrouting will be consolidating its existing footprint from Digital Realty Trust FRA4 to Equinix FR7.
This migration includes the relocation of our L2 connections, on-ramps, and a select number of shared colocation, bare metal, and cloud platforms. During this maintenance window, we will also be activating new 100G backbone connections with NTT and Tata Communications, and upgrading our existing Arelion connection to 100G.
Maintenance Window
Start: Saturday, 24 January at 23:00 CET
End: Sunday, 25 January at 04:00 CET
Expected Impact
This maintenance is disruptive for customers using IP space in the following subnets:
• 37.46.198.0/24
• 37.46.199.0/24
Customers within these ranges will experience temporary loss of power and connectivity during the migration window.
All other Frankfurt routed IP blocks are not affected.
Customers with redundant L2 connections should only experience a temporary loss of redundancy, while traffic remains operational over the remaining path.
Purpose of Maintenance
• Migration from DRT FRA4 to Equinix FR7
• Activation of new 100G NTT and Tata connections
• Upgrade of existing Arelion connection to 100G
• Capacity expansion and resilience improvements
Our engineering teams will be on-site and monitoring throughout the entire maintenance window to ensure a smooth transition and to minimize disruption.
• 37.46.198.0/24 - All servers/hosts
• 37.46.199.0/24 - All servers/hosts
Netrouting will be migrating its Equinix Hong Kong footprint and adding additional capacity to support continued growth. As part of this effort, a limited portion of our cloud and bare metal infrastructure will be relocated to a different area within the datacenter that provides sufficient remaining space and power capacity.
Maintenance window
Start: December 20, 00:00 (HKT)
End: No later than December 20, 08:00 (HKT)
Impact
Services assigned IP addresses within the following prefixes may experience downtime or service interruption during this window:
103.101.0.0/24
103.101.1.0/24
All work will be performed within the scheduled window, and every effort will be made to minimize impact and restore affected services as quickly as possible.
Bare Metal and Cloud in 103.101.0.0/24 and 103.101.1.0/24
As part of our ongoing infrastructure development program, UPS-C will undergo upgrades to bring the system to its maximum design capacity. This activity will be completed across two planned maintenance windows. The first window is scheduled for:
- December 8, from 07:00 to 18:00.
- No work will be performed on ATS-C or DIST-C during this phase.
Impact – Maintenance Window #1
- No service interruption is expected.
- Customers receiving power from UPS-C will temporarily operate without UPS protection during this window.
- Unprotected utility power will continue to be supplied through DIST-C for the full duration of the work.
- GEN-C will remain available, and generator-backed protection will not be affected. Only the UPS layer of redundancy will be unavailable.
- Customers with dual power feeds from UPS clusters A and/or B will remain fully protected.
Affected Areas (power distribution busbars):
- ZA.C1.BB02
- ZA.C2.BB02
- ZA.C3.BB02
- ZA.C5.BB02
- ZA.C7.BB02
During the upgrade work, increased activity from electricians and contractors is expected. Certain common areas—including the loading bay—may experience temporary access restrictions. If you anticipate needing to collect or receive shipments on this date, please coordinate with our operations team in advance.
